Volunteer

Protect Voters. Volunteer for Election Protection.

Election Protection seeks volunteers to help ensure millions of Americans are able to vote.

Election Protection – led by the Lawyers’ Committee – is the nation’s largest non-partisan voter protection coalition.  Through the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline, Election Protection simultaneously helps tens of thousands of voters overcome obstacles to the ballot box while collecting data that makes the case for meaningful reform at the local and national level.  Election Protection guides voters through the voting process, from registration through Election Day and beyond.

In 2008, Election Protection implemented its largest and most comprehensive program to date.  Thanks to the hard work of over 10,000 volunteers like you, Election Protection was able to help hundreds of thousands of voters throughout the historic 2008 election cycle. Though turnout for the 2010 midterm election will not reach the historic heights of 2008, Election Protection’s program for this election cycle will remain comprehensive to ensure that votes are counted on Election Day.

How you can help:  Election Protection is currently recruiting attorneys, paralegals, and law students to:

Serve as a hotline call center volunteer on or before Election Day

Participate in a legal field deployment on Election Day to ensure the process is running properly.
