Election Protection seeks Spanish-speaking volunteers to help ensure millions of Americans are able to vote.
Election Protection – led by the Lawyers’ Committee – is the nation’s largest non-partisan voter protection coalition. Through the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline and a comprehensive legal field deployment, Election Protection simultaneously helps tens of thousands of voters overcome obstacles to the ballot box while collecting data that makes the case for meaningful reform at the local and national level. Election Protection guides voters through the voting process, from registration through Election Day and beyond.
In 2008, Election Protection implemented its largest and most comprehensive program to date. Thanks to the hard work of over 10,000 volunteers like you, Election Protection was able to help hundreds of thousands of voters throughout the historic 2008 election cycle, but our work is not over. The 2010 mid-term elections are upon us, and once again we are organizing a national non-partisan program to assist voters and correct mass problems of disenfranchisement of eligible American voters. Will you help by volunteering for Election Protection in 2010?
How you can help: Election Protection is currently recruiting attorneys, paralegals, and law students to:
-Serve as hotline call center volunteers on or before Election Day
-Participate in a legal field deployments on Election Day to ensure the process is running properly
